Summer '26 Round-Up

Cuban rum, Scotch whisky, English oysters and Greco-Roman pottery – this was a summer of internationalism; both in-studio and on some sun-soaked location shoots. If any of these projects from the last few months brings you a whisper of inspiration, stimulation, insight or escape then feel free to share it with others or let me know. Nothing makes me happier than good work with good people. And you, my friend, are definitely the latter.

The biggest brief of the summer: Cuba by way of Vejer de la Frontera and Bromley by Bow.

The brief: to create a vibey Habanero party for Cuba's favourite rum, replete with multiple mood-led drinking occasions, outfits, serves and SKUs to match.

Briefed by Sweet & Chilli UK and Pernod Ricard, this was a great project to get my teeth into – shooting across multiple weeks with a sizeable roster of models, stylists, assistants, clients and a fabulous film team.

We shot our lifestyle content in Spain, where the sun was hot and the wrap beers cold. Then back to the UK to capture all the cocktail serves at my studio in East London. (More on those further below.)

The army of images is already rolling out across brand websites, press, socials, etc. And the client was so enamoured that usage was extended for a billboard campaign back in Cuba. Which is quite the compliment and honour.

Proving that not all great ideas need to overly-complex, The Heart Cut launched their latest limited single-cask release. And instead of the colour-led brand-world studio shoots we have done in the past, they launched this release paired with oysters from Fin + Flounder in London's Broadway Market.

Cue a mid-morning location shoot for lifestyle imagery, backed up with a small studio set piece to capture what we couldn't in the middle of the market. Simple, effective, refreshing and of-the-moment.

Ali Dedianko is a pottery artist who I've known for decades.

Inspired by the Odyssey-tinged offerings we'd seen thriving in magazines and on screens, we had a joyous day together in the studio exploring classical Mediterranean aesthetics for her Greco-Roman-shaded collection, through both stills and subtle motion.

Back from Spain and again with Sweet & Chilli and Havana Club, we set to work capturing their 50-something new cocktail serves in the studio. This was a fabulous blend of fast-moving, high-volume asset capture with considerate attention to detail, crafting serves with precision and matching the tabletop sets to the OG moods and lifestyle set-pieces.

This was me in my element: doing what I do best and loving almost every minute of it.

Here's a moment of fresh air: corporate portraiture, with an "Addie vibe."

Little known fact, probably because I don't shout about them enough, but I love a portrait session. It's a rare chance bring a sense of ease to the studio; to care for someone in a one-to-one moment; to build trust and connection.

Fract House is an all-female fractional powerhouse providing marketing and financial development for growing brands. Discussing finance may not normally be my conversational cup-of-tea – but this really was a wonderful session filled with laughs, great conversation and shared creativity. So all my thanks to the team.

Between all the photography (and certainly because of it), I've finished a small collection of Miniatures and they're live and already being snapped up.

Affordable slices of unique calligraphic art in the age of robot-made fodder? What's not to love? Especially when they celebrate all the best drinking occasions.
