Mojito (2023)
Mojito (2023)
Like a bejewelled science experiment or glamorous fetish spectacle, this is the Mojito as you’ve never seen it before: a single mint leaf stretched taught on green-diamantéd crocodile clips atop a calm field of flat cream colour.
The dazzling gems on the leaf not only bring the bling but also reference the crushed ice that gleams throughout the cocktail and its gentle effervescence. Framed, this looks fabulous as a centrepiece on a print wall, or above your home cocktail bar (which is exactly where mine hangs at our home in East London).
The Alcohol Free series (here) begins with the premise: “How would I photograph a cocktail without the cocktail?” The collection celebrates the world’s most iconic cocktails, reducing each to a single heroic element. It is at once an expression of conceptual minimalism and aesthetic maximalism.
